Makeup Swapping

If you have unwanted makeup in good condition that you have know idea what to do with Makeupalley is the perfect site for you. You swap your unwanted makeup for someone else's unwanted makeup lol. Now this sounds like you would get some gross drug store makeup in the mail but, it's totally different. The way is works is you get an account and post the items you no longer use but, are in good condition to swap. People also swap brand new makeup too. I've gotten Kat Von D palettes and MAC eye shadows from this site in perfect condition. You can search items your interested in then message the owner with your offer. From there you exchange addresses and then send out your packages. Now when I first saw this site I thought how do I know someone isn't just going to get my package and never send my end? On the site in the user's profile they have swap tokens. You can have positive, neutral, and negative. It shows how many of each token you have and the comments from the user who gave it to you. It also has the percentage of positive tokens. So you can tell who can be trusted. Starting out I would recommend you only swap with people with a lot of positive tokens because then you can be sure not to get "swaplifted". Most people have one person send first then once the package is received they send their package. Swaplifting can be common on this site but, you have to be smart. I've had over 20 swaps and have never gotten swaplifted. This is a great site to recycle your unwanted makeup and try new brands out. You just have to be careful. As a newbie most people will ask you to send first so make sure to look at the person's swap tokens. Also makeup isn't the only thing swapped on this site. You can swap clothes, jewelery, skincare products, ect. It's a great site and that's all I have to say for now. I'll review my next swap on a another post later on.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Swatches

This is a great brand with beautiful, unique, pigmented colors. It's pricey but, I think it's definitely worth it. My favorite product by MUFE is their Aqua Creamliner. It's a creamy waterproof black eyeliner and it doesn't smudge. This is one of my most used makeup products. I love creamliners because you just take an angled brush & paint on your liner. MUFE's Aqua Creamliner is smooth & creamy (well, obviously). I use this almost everyday as a lid liner. It's $20 at Sephora but,I definitely think it's worth it. This one has lasted me since the summer. Now I don't if that's healthy but, point is this thing lasts forever.

Now the two swatches of the shadow are the same color. They both have Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base. The color on the far left is alone & the one in the middle is under black eye shadow. On the far right is the black Aqua Creamliner. The eye shadow is a beautiful very unique color. It's a rose color with holographic green shimmer. The name of the color Iridescent Red 949, I think. I'm not totally sure because it doesn't really say on the bottom on the jar but, I'm 99% positive it is. At Sephora, it's $19. Again expensive, I know but, this is totally worth it. There's tons of product in the jar & the color is soo unique. I don't think my description or picture really capture the color, but trust it's a gorgeous color. I definitely think it's worth the money. I rate these items 10/10

1st Post: Kat Von D Memento Mori Palette Swatches

Okay, so this is basically a beauty blog with my reviews, swatches, opinions, & insight on cosmetics & the world of cosmetology. I'm going to start with swatching all my eye shadows from various brands & reviewing them. Today I swatched my Kat Von D Memento Mori palette, which is a limited edition palette only sold at Sephora.

So, this is the inside of palette
From left to right the colors are True, Solitude, Meditation, Agatha Pink, Sugar Skull, Peggy, Hard Luck,& Tijuana. This goes for both pics. I don't have the best at the moment, hopefully I can get a better one soon.

True: This is a cream dark blue color. I use this as base over my too faced shadow insurance. I wouldn't suggest using this color alone it's hard to work with.
Solitude: This is one of my favorites from the palette. It's a light periwinkle purple. It's A beautiful color and great to blend with.
Meditation: This is a shimmery golden tan color. Not really my cup of tea, but it is a very nice color.
Agatha Pink: This is a peachy pink. I think it's beautiful as a highlight color.
Sugar Skull: This is a light shimmery yellow color. It's great for the inner corners of the eye.
Peggy: This is my favorite color. It's a very unique somewhat shimmery light turquoise color. My description is horrible. So, I think you should go to a Sephora & see for yourself.
Hard Luck: This is a sparkly deep forest green. I have yet to try this as a liner.
Tijuana: This is a deep brown with golden sparkles. Very Beautiful.

Overall, this is my favorite Kat Von D palette. The colors are unique and pigmented. I give it an 8/10
